Anybody who lives in the West Midlands will be aware of BRMB radio station.

It’s easily the most well known commercial station in the area.

As of this month BRMB will be rebranded and renamed as Free Radio, so it was about time all the presenters had new profile photos done ready for the big relaunch. I was pretty chuffed to be asked to do the job for them, even though studio photography isn’t something I often do. I was totally up for the challenge though and the two days of shooting went really well. Everyone who came in was great and it was fun chatting to the presenters about the celebs they’d met. I found out just who was a diva, who had no personality whatsoever and who was a top bloke.

It was hard work but I’m really pleased with the results. I also did photos for their sister stations, Beacon, Mercia & Wyvern.

Just me, a great couple and a whole day to make photos.

We started at The Custard Factory, then hit the streets of Digbeth, Kenilworth Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon and finally back to Birmingham after dark.

I’m kinda proud of this one…

Congrats to Cassie & Andy on the arrival of little Lana…

I have to say that one of the nicest parts of this job is doing shoots like this one.

It’s almost 2 years since I photographed Fran & Will’s beautiful wedding at BAFTA in London.

And it’s a lovely compliment that when, just before Christmas, their baby daughter Zoe arrived, they invited me back down to their new home to take some photos for them.

Cassie & Andy met in Australia. They kinda liked each other. A lot.

Cassie moved to England.

Cassie & Andy got engaged.

Cassie & Andy were married at Warwick Castle.

Cassie got pregnant.

Welcome to the world Lana. And huge congrats to two of our favourite people!

I’m so grateful that I get to do something I’m passionate about as a career and last year was our best year yet. So many amazing moments!

It’s all about the people we meet along the way though and I can’t thank those people enough.

My wife, Evelyne…. There’s no way to sum up how much I love her and how important she is to me. She’s the best!

My boys, Elliott, Isaac & Jonas. They’ve taken over our lives and make us laugh out loud every day. I couldn’t love them more.

Our clients. I can’t believe what amazing clients we continue to book. They’re all so welcoming and we never take for granted the privilege of being allowed into their lives and to witness their most important moments. We have made a lot of great new friends this year.

Add to that the wedding bloggers, magazines, bands, workshop attendees, companies that help us out with shoots, other photographers…. the list goes on.

This week I welcomed Darren Powell to our studio in Birmingham for our first ever two-day 1-to-1 workshop.

It’s been a full on couple of days and it seems Darren has gone away with a new enthusiasm for photography which is great.

As part of the workshop, this morning we went out to photograph Ellie & Ben who kindly volunteered their time and braved the cold December weather. They rocked it!

Thanks to Darren for trusting me to fill his head with all my ideas. And thanks to Ellie & Ben for making the shoot so easy for us.

Say hello to Samantha & Tem.

At the end of November we did a shoot with them at their flat in Birmingham. Samantha was 8 months pregnant. We got a great selection of photos from the shoot which will be on the blog after the weekend.

Between then and now their baby arrived into the world 15 days early He’s named Temugen after his Dad.

BIG CONGRATS GUYS! Can’t wait to meet him.
