One of the privileges of my job is being given the opportunity to photograph legends of the music industry. Iggy Pop and the Stooges fall very clearly into that category. So I was saddened to hear about the death this week of Stooges guitarist (and occasional bass player) Ron Asheton.
Ron was ranked as number 29 on Rolling Stone‘s 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. I photographed him on stage in 2007 with the Stooges. Here are just a couple of those pictures.
He’ll be very much missed but his music will live on…

Sad news that Ron Asheton has passed away,but at least he get’s to make music with some legends that have gone before him in the great beyond.RIP Ron.
