So looking forward to shooting Sarah & David’s wedding at Hogarths this weekend!!
I’ve loved having a few weeks off from weddings but I’ve kinda missed the buzz of it all.
So looking forward to shooting Sarah & David’s wedding at Hogarths this weekend!!
I’ve loved having a few weeks off from weddings but I’ve kinda missed the buzz of it all.
It’s unusual for us to meet a couple for the first time the day before their wedding.
It’s even more unusual for us shoot an engagement session less than 24 hours before they get married.
Karen & Scot met me in the very same pub that Evelyne worked years before I married her, and we headed out into the rainy streets of Edinburgh to create some photos ahead of their wedding at Orocco Pier.
My good pal, Lee Allen, was along to carry the umbrellas!
Ok.. This could be one of my favourite shoots yet!
Denmark & Colin are planning a wedding in Shanghai next year. I’d love to shoot a wedding in China but at least I get to do their pre-wedding photos.
We decided on Warwick as the perfect location and spent a great day exploring the town and getting a good variety of portraits. Later in the day we visited the epic location of Warwick Castle where we were lucky enough to have the whole castle to ourselves after the general public had left. Amazing!
Big thanks to Katie and David at Warwick Castle for being so accommodating.
We began the shoot in more humble surroundings…
It’s always kinda cool to jump on a plane with my camera and go and shoot somewhere a bit different.
Carina & John get married in Essex next month but wanted to do their engagement shoot in the city they call home – Dublin.
We had a great day wandering the streets of a fantastic city, dodging the occasional shower and popping into a pub for my first ever pint of Guinness.
Carina & John were the perfect hosts and I’m now really looking forward to the main event…
Karen & Paul get married in 2 weeks time in Birmingham and it’s a wedding I’m really looking forward to.
They’ve asked me to shoot it on my own, which is unusual for me but I’m relishing the challenge.
Both Karen & Paul are very creative people and, as such, are perfectly happy for me to be as creative with their wedding images as I like. I have a feeling it’s going to be a fun day for me. And hopefully a perfect day for them.
For their engagement session we headed to Sutton Park, close to where they live, and enjoyed some fresh air as the sun began to dip in the sky…
Well, actually they’re married now!
Claire & Ben are both from the UK but currently live in Sydney. Don’t hate them though cos they’re both great
They were back in the UK over Christmas for their wedding on the 27th and had a packed schedule while they were here as you can imagine. We almost didn’t manage to squeeze in their engagement shoot but, in the end, they were able to meet just before Christmas. It was on a day when I’d officially finished for the Christmas break so we did the shoot at the end of the road where we live, and in about 40 minutes, so that our holidays weren’t interrupted too much.
As you can see, snow was thick on the ground but Claire & Ben braved the cold and we got some pretty cool photos from our time together.
Their wedding was amazing and I’ll be posting those photos here very soon…
Gem & Rich get married at the peak of the summer so we’re all hoping for a warm, sunny day. By complete contrast they decided to do their engagement shoot on one of the coldest, snowed-under days of December, and it made for great images.
They’ll be using the photos from this shoot to make a guest book for the main event. It’s gonna look great me thinks
Say hi to Pearl & Hardeep. We met them when we photographed their friends Purdeep & Beney’s wedding in 2009.
In 2010 Pearl emailed me asking about doing an engagement session in London ahead of their wedding in Singapore which happened right before New Year.
The date we chose happened to clash with the student protests in London, causing the traffic in the city to be even worse than usual. I was 2 hours late for the shoot! Not a good start. Things improved quickly though as Pearl & Hardeep are two of the friendliest people you could meet and we had fun roaming the London streets, from Tower Bridge to Shoreditch. We even kept shooting after dark, which was a novelty for me.
Congrats to Pearl & Hardeep on their marriage. I heard it was an amazing wedding.
Here are some of my fave images from our shoot.
Margherita & Chris get hitched at the end of October in Bedford. And it’s Bedford where we met for their engagement shoot. An early evening session in the countryside which ended with a great sky as the sun finally set.
They already have one of my photos framed on their living room but it’s not one of them. It’s a large print of Jay-Z that I took at Birmingham’s LG Arena
How cool is that?!
You just know their wedding is gonna be a good one now!
FAVOURITE!

Lyndsey & Alex came to us after seeing our work on the super-epic Rock N Roll Bride blog. That gets them bonus points straight away.
They’re having their wedding this weekend and are planning a big picnic in Victoria Park in London as their wedding breakfast. Extra bonus points!
For their engagement session they hired a tandem. Triple bonus points!!!
Can’t wait for their wedding on Saturday. And it’ll be great having the lovely Emma Case along as my 2nd shooter too
