Here’s a great wedding from the summer to warm you up during these cold January days…
A very cool, fun wedding. Anna & Chris are ace. Muchas gracias to my right hand woman on the day, Mrs Anna Clarke.

Karen & Paul were married in Birmingham back in May.
Theirs was a relaxed affair and it was one of the only weddings I’ve photographed solo. I actually enjoyed the challenge of covering the day on my own for them and we had a great day. The ceremony happened at their local church in Four Oaks, after which their guests were transported to the Mint Hotel in Birmingham city centre for food, drink and some great speeches.
Big thanks to Karen & Paul for inviting me to capture a great day and for making me feel so welcome. They’re a truly lovely couple.
Lucy & Steve were married earlier this year at the venue we’ve visited more than any other – Moxhull Hall.
It was our first time shooting an outdoor ceremony there though and the weather was kind to us. Good people, cute kids, great weather, delicious food, top venue and the most ushers I’ve ever witnessed!
Enjoy…
Congrats to Lucy & Steve on getting hitched in fine style.
Thanks to Nicola from Daffodil Waves for being my lovely second shooter on the day.
Karen & Paul get married in 2 weeks time in Birmingham and it’s a wedding I’m really looking forward to.
They’ve asked me to shoot it on my own, which is unusual for me but I’m relishing the challenge.
Both Karen & Paul are very creative people and, as such, are perfectly happy for me to be as creative with their wedding images as I like. I have a feeling it’s going to be a fun day for me. And hopefully a perfect day for them.
For their engagement session we headed to Sutton Park, close to where they live, and enjoyed some fresh air as the sun began to dip in the sky…
Right, I’m not even gonna tell you how long it’s taken me to blog this wedding. Let’s just say I’m glad I got it up before Liz & Jon’s anniversary!
Their wedding was at Moor Hall in Sutton Coldfield which is probably the closest major wedding venue to where we live. This was, however, our first time shooting a wedding there.
Liz & Jon’s wedding could not have been more perfect. The weather was beautiful, Liz looked stunning and their friends and family were totally up for a party.
Random fact – Jon shares his birthday with me (May 10th if you were thinking of buying me a present)
2nd shooter – Anna Clarke
Ok, so there’s something different about this blog post. I’m interested to know if you can tell what’s different and, if you can, whether you think it’s better. Leave me a comment with any thoughts
Cheers
Steve
I have so much good stuff waiting to hit the blog! Our website was diseased for a couple of weeks and, as a result, we’ve now moved server. All that has put things back a little and I now have a queue of blog posts waiting for their time in the spotlight!
First up though are Emily & Paul who get married at the super-cool Packington Moor in 3 weeks. Anybody that chooses Packington Moor as their wedding venue is already in our good books
For their engagement session, they suggested heading over to Lichfield (they actually live right near us) and I instantly agreed as I’ve never done an engagement shoot there before. I prefer new locations and like to just see what we find while exploring the area.
Here’s what we found…

We love it when couples opt to have their engagement shoot somewhere that has significance for them.
Caroline & Mark opted for the area near the canals in Birmingham as it was there that Mark popped the question and Caroline said yes to marrying him. The photo above is exactly where Mark proposed before surprising his new fiancee with a barge cruise with their friends & family. Good work fella!
They get married in a few weeks at Moxhull Hall and I’m looking forward to spending the big day with them…

Nicola & Stuart met aboard the QE2. Quite a romantic place to start a relationship which culminated a few weeks ago when they tied the knot and celebrated their wedding at New Hall in Sutton Coldfield.
The weather was glorious, the venue’s spectacular and Nicola & Stuart made Anna & I feel totally welcome.
We got so many great photos on the day. Here are a few of my faves…

One of Anna’s photos..

Peekaboo!

Now THAT’s a cake! Props to the artist that is Ben The Cake Man

Who got the Golden Ticket?

Time for some portraits…

Love these next two…

Thanks once again to Anna for assisting on the day. Thanks to MC Paul for being a star as always. And thanks SO MUCH to Nicola & Stuart for inviting us to be a part of their day. Congrats to you both

Now here’s a wedding I’ve been looking forward to blogging… Elesha & Dan.
Such a great couple and their wedding was fantastic. Their friends & family made us feel totally welcome, and Elesha & Dan made our job so easy. It also helped that Elesha looked stunning.
Thanks to the legend that is Tony at Moxhull Hall and the always amazing Anna who was my second shooter on the day.
Enjoy!

Let’s play “Spot Natalie Bartram”

Moxhull Hall never lets us down.

Think I’d better watch out for the competition!

Dan got his girl

errr… Wow!

Seriously one of our favourite couples ever! This wedding was EPIC (copyright Rock N Roll Bride)

Remember Lauren & Ashley’s engagement session? I knew then that their wedding was gonna be a great day and I was quite right. On top of that they chose Hogarths in Solihull as their venue and, as you can see above, brought sparklers for us to use for one of their portrait shots. They also had their own fun booth and we’ll have those pictures on the blog soon. They rock!
Here are some of my fave images from their wedding..

Who’d have thought that a wool theme could work so well?!

Watch out photographers! The next generation are coming…

I was assisted on the day again by the lovely Anna. Here’s one of her shots…

Biggest gifts ever!

Big congrats to Lauren & Ashley. We loved being a part of their day and look forward to putting together an amazing album for them. And thanks for the sparklers
