Becky & Gary – A Wedding at Hampton Manor

Becky & Gary’s wedding was our last of 2011 and our first at the gorgeous Hampton Manor.

Unfortunately, on the day, the weather was against us. Rain, rain and more rain! It didn’t dampen any spirits whatsoever though and the wedding was amazing. The party was just as good.

Because of the weather, I asked Becky & Gary if they fancied getting back into their outfits the following day when the weather looked better. They agreed and we got some great portraits of them in the grounds of the venue.

Becky used to be wedding coordinator at The Belfry so I was quite honoured she invited me to be her photographer. They also booked our friends Cartoon Kings and Mango to provide the tunes, and the amazing Ben The Cake Man to make another beautiful cake.

Becky looked stunning and Gary scrubbed up nicely (check out that suit!). I was assisted on the day by my good pal, Gobi Jhitta.

Thanks to Becky’s brother, Mike, for providing the fire!

Just me, a great couple and a whole day to make photos.

We started at The Custard Factory, then hit the streets of Digbeth, Kenilworth Castle, Stratford-upon-Avon and finally back to Birmingham after dark.

I’m kinda proud of this one…

Lisa & Jason – A Wedding at Wethele Manor

Lisa & Jason were married at the gorgeous Wethele Manor in Warwickshire earlier this year.

This was a chilled, laid-back wedding with a great bunch of guests and absolutely perfect weather.

We met on Monday in Leamington Spa for their engagement shoot ahead of their wedding next February. Shot, edited and blogged within 24 hours! I won’t make a habit of it, I promise…

Anna & Chris – Engaged!

Anna & Chris have been together 11 years.

They both turned 30 this year and Chris decided it was now or never, and popped the question…

Next month they get married, with their reception at one of our favourite local venues, Moxhull Hall.

We met up in Stratford-Upon-Avon for their engagement shoot and wandered the historic streets of Shakespeare’s home town…

Annie & Paul – A Wedding in Warwickshire

Annie & Paul were married last month at Saxon Mill near Warwick.

Their wedding was full of laughter, helped along by their photographer walking backwards into a candelabra and knocking lit candles onto the floor as they walked out from their ceremony! Doh!

For the reception they headed over to the Heart Of England in Meriden where we laughed some more, ate great food with their super-lovely guests, dodged a few showers, made some photos, rocked the Fun Booth and played with a little fire…

Lisa & Jason – Engagement Session

Lisa & Jason are a great couple who get married in just over 2 weeks at the gorgeous Wethele Manor near Leamington Spa. It’s our first time shooting at the venue so I’m looking forward to exploring.

For their engagement shoot we met at their home in Coleshill and went out walking across nearby bridges & fields. It was good to be out in the countryside on such a lovely day rather than sat staring at a monitor like I am right now…

Steph & Kev – A Wedding at Alveston Manor, Stratford-Upon-Avon

Another wedding from 2010 and another one of my fave couples.

It’s quite appropriate that I’m posting this one this week though as both Steph & Kev have amazing tattoos. And this week I had my first ever tattoo. Well, the beginnings of one anyway. It’s gonna be a long job but it’s already looking fantastic. More on that once it’s completed…

Steph & Kev were married at Alveston Manor in Stratford-Upon-Avon. Their wedding was unusual as, during the day, they had less than 20 guests. It was actually a refreshing change to have such a small group. Later that evening though, plenty more guests were invited and the party was rocking despite a slightly suspect DJ!

We loved shooting this wedding and I got some of my favourite couple portraits of the year.
