Lucy & Steve – A Wedding at Moxhull Hall
Lucy & Steve were married earlier this year at the venue we’ve visited more than any other – Moxhull Hall.
It was our first time shooting an outdoor ceremony there though and the weather was kind to us. Good people, cute kids, great weather, delicious food, top venue and the most ushers I’ve ever witnessed!
Enjoy…
Congrats to Lucy & Steve on getting hitched in fine style.
Thanks to Nicola from Daffodil Waves for being my lovely second shooter on the day.

Nisha & Tony – Wedding at The Old Library, Birmingham
Nisha & Tony’s wedding was one I won’t forget.
Firstly because they’re very very good friends of ours. Tony was my Best Man at our wedding.
On top of that, they had their wedding literally yards from our studio at The Custard Factory in Birmingham. The Old Library is a venue which I’ve been keen to shoot a wedding at and I was impressed how great it looks when it’s all decorated for weddings. We have another wedding there later this year.
Nisha & Tony’s wedding was pretty relaxed and laid-back, just like the couple. In the evening their friends’ band, The Dark Hearts, played and Steve & Steph, whose wedding I shot in New York, played a rockin’ DJ set
Massive congrats to one of the coolest couples we know. We had a brilliant day…
Second shooting on the day was the ever-lovely Anna Clarke.
Who ate all the cake?!
Best ring shot ever!

Carla & Tim – A Wedding at Whirlowbrook Hall, Sheffield
A few weeks ago I was up in Yorkshire to shoot Carla & Tim’s wedding at Whirlowbrook Hall in Sheffield.
You may recognise these two from their engagement shoot which I blogged a couple of months back. They’re a super-cool couple who put together a wedding full of quirky little touches and ideas we’d never seen before. After all the weddings we’ve shot over the past few years, that’s saying a lot.
We had a total blast on the day and their friends and family made us feel as if we were guests rather than photographers. Everyone rocked it in the Fun Booth (more of that later).
Adam Johnson second shot with me on the day. Thanks Adam.
I’m actually trying to cut down on the amount of images I blog from each wedding. It was impossible with this one…
Carla & Tim met up just before the ceremony. No rules!
Never let it be said that we don’t take our job seriously!
I said to Carla on the day that their wedding rocked. I stand by my word.
Thanks to Carla & Tim for having us along to photograph such an amazing wedding. Big congrats!

Lucy & Mike – Engaged!
I recently shot a wedding in Sheffield (on the blog this weekend).
The next morning I jumped in the car and enjoyed a drive over the beautiful Yorkshire moors before heading to Formby beach near Liverpool to meet with Lucy & Mike. They get married later this month but Mike was brought up in Formby, and the beach and surrounding fields there seemed the perfect place to shoot their engagement photos.
We finished the day back in Birmingham where Lucy & Mike now live together. These photos were taken where they went on their first date…
.. and this is the exact spot where they first met
Looking forward to shooting their wedding at Grafton Manor in a few weeks…

Today I was in Dublin to meet Carina & John for their engagement shoot.
I’ll be blogging the full set soon enough but I couldn’t resist a little preview…

Rock N Roll Bride – The Rock N Riot Shoot
Many of you reading this will be more than familiar with Rock N Roll Bride. It’s recently been voted Number 1 on the list of the Top 100 UK Wedding Blogs and the lady behind the site, Kat, is now a good pal of mine.
So when I was asked to do a fully themed Punk Wedding shoot with Kat, and involving some of my favourite wedding vendors, I was somewhat excited to see what we came up with as well being a little nervous. Kat’s had some amazing photo shoots done before and I wanted to make sure this one was up to standard.
The day itself was fun from start to finish and we came away with a great collection of “epic” (the word of the day) images which are already being used on blogs and in magazines all over the place. Happy days.
Check out this video from the hugely talented Simon Clarke which shows what we got up to on the day.
Here are all the amazingly talented people who were involved in making this shoot possible. Thanks to them all

Jane & Ian – A Wedding at The Cathedral Quarter Hotel, Derby
Our first real wedding of 2011 took place at the quite spectacular Cathedral Quarter Hotel in Derby in March when Jane & Ian became Mr & Mrs Parry.
You may remember their engagement shoot with the beat up old ice cream van
If not, CLICK HEREAfter meeting for that shoot I knew their wedding was gonna be one to look forward to but they totally surpassed my expectations with one of the most colourful weddings I’ve been lucky enough to witness. Their attention to detail was amazing and they had some great personal touches.
On top of that their guests made us feel so welcome, especially members of the families.
We’re already working on not one but TWO Queensberry albums from this wedding and I can’t wait to see the finished results.
My second shooter on the day was the lovely Gemma Williams. Amazing flowers by John Preston Flowers.
Is 76 images from one wedding too much…?!
What an amazing wedding to kick the year off with! See why I love my job?!
Thanks to Jane & Ian for allowing us to document a fantastic day for them and for making our job so easy! Big congrats to you both.

Jane & Phil – A Wedding at RIBA, London
Jane & Phil chose 18th December 2010 as the day they’d get married. Little did they know what the weather men had in store for that date…
I arrived in London that morning while my Twitter and Facebook friends left me messages about the heavy snow due to land on the capital later that day. I’m sure they’re exaggerating, I thought…
As Jane and the bridesmaids fixed their hair and makeup at the hotel, the snow began to fall. And fall. And then fall some more, only slightly heavier!
By the time we moved up the road to RIBA, the snow was deep. And still coming down. Phil struggled to find a cab due to the snow, so the boys took the Tube to the venue.
Luckily for everyone, all their guests made it to the wedding and a fun time was had by all. This was one stylish wedding in a stunning venue.
From a photography point of view, it had its challenges. A 3:30 wedding in mid-December meant no photos of the couple in daylight. The large group shot was taken inside. We did a few couple shots outside in the snow but had to work fast so that Jane didn’t freeze to death!
My journey home was appalling. I finally made it home at 4:30am! It was all worth it.
Big thanks to Tamryn Henn for second shooting with me.
We brought the Fun Booth along too. Much more of that another time
Huge congrats to Jane & Phil and thanks to you both for having us be a part of your day. It was a fantastic day!

Jo & Rick – A Wedding at Cripps Barn, The Cotswolds
Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and it’s 1am.
I literally just got home from an evening editing at the studio, ordering in pizza and listening to Amy Seeley and A.A. Bondy, both perfectly soundtracking my night. You’d think I’d be done for the night but I was determined to blog Jo & Rick’s amazing wedding before calling it a night. In truth, I was hoping to have blogged this wedding about ten days ago but my days seem to run away with me, each seemingly lasting around ten hours rather than the 24 that were promised.
Jo & Rick were married a month ago at Cripps Barn near Bibury, one of the most picturesque parts of the Cotswolds. The weather had just cooled down considerably but it was a gorgeous, crisp, fresh autumnal day… Ok, it was bloody cold! But it wasn’t raining so I was happy. The timings on the day meant that we didn’t get much time for portraits but we still came away with a great collection of photos from the day.
I was helped out on the day by the always-smiling Emma Case (some of these photos are hers) and Jo & Rick and their guests made sure we felt like guests rather than hired photographers. The wedding itself was laid-back and great fun, with a fine selection of music throughout the day. And plenty of damn fine tattoos on display too.
In the evening The Fun Booth was in full effect. Plenty more to come in another post but here are two of our fave Fun Booth photos…
Huge congrats to Jo & Rick. Such a great wedding! Thanks for having us along to enjoy the day with everyone
Cheers.
Right… time for bed…
