A Guest Post For Rock N Roll Bride
Many of you will be aware of Rock N Roll Bride.
It’s one of the biggest and best wedding blogs on the planet, so I was really pleased when its creator, Kat, asked me to write a guest post for her.
I chose to talk about how my passions for photography and music have helped to develop my style and find my place in the wedding photography market.

Welcome To The World… Thomas
Cath & Dave were married a couple of years ago and we loved shooting their day for them.
So, I was chuffed to be asked to take photos for them when they welcomed their new baby boy into the world recently.
Say hello to Thomas…

BRMB Becomes Free Radio – Presenters Portraits
Anybody who lives in the West Midlands will be aware of BRMB radio station.
It’s easily the most well known commercial station in the area.
As of this month BRMB will be rebranded and renamed as Free Radio, so it was about time all the presenters had new profile photos done ready for the big relaunch. I was pretty chuffed to be asked to do the job for them, even though studio photography isn’t something I often do. I was totally up for the challenge though and the two days of shooting went really well. Everyone who came in was great and it was fun chatting to the presenters about the celebs they’d met. I found out just who was a diva, who had no personality whatsoever and who was a top bloke.
It was hard work but I’m really pleased with the results. I also did photos for their sister stations, Beacon, Mercia & Wyvern.
Thanks to Alycia & Andy for helping organise the shoot.

Jonny & Stephanie – A Big Greek Birmingham Wedding
I’ve known Stephanie for a while as she used to work at Moxhull Hall where we’ve covered more weddings than any other venue.
So it was quite a compliment when she chose us to cover such an amazing wedding. Our first big Greek wedding too.
The main ceremony was at the impressive Orthodox Church of St. Luke in Erdington before everyone headed to the National Motorcycle Museum.
Greek weddings are so fun to shoot. I love the colours, traditions and the famous money dance. Steph & Jonny made us feel totally welcome and their guests made sure we were well fed!
Can’t wait to shoot another Greek wedding. Here are a few faves from the day…
Thanks to the lovely Anna Clarke for 2nd shooting this one with me.

My Favourite Photos of 2011 – Part 1
Twenty Eleven. A very good year.
I’m so grateful that I get to do something I’m passionate about as a career and last year was our best year yet. So many amazing moments!
It’s all about the people we meet along the way though and I can’t thank those people enough.
My wife, Evelyne…. There’s no way to sum up how much I love her and how important she is to me. She’s the best!
My boys, Elliott, Isaac & Jonas. They’ve taken over our lives and make us laugh out loud every day. I couldn’t love them more.
Our clients. I can’t believe what amazing clients we continue to book. They’re all so welcoming and we never take for granted the privilege of being allowed into their lives and to witness their most important moments. We have made a lot of great new friends this year.
Add to that the wedding bloggers, magazines, bands, workshop attendees, companies that help us out with shoots, other photographers…. the list goes on.
Thank you. Here’s to an amazing 2012.
So, here are some of my favourite images from 2011. It’s a varied collection. I had too many for one post though so here is Part 1…. Part 2 will follow tomorrow… Enjoy!
