FAQ
How long do you stay on the wedding day?
Your wedding album should be a storybook of your wedding day and for that reason our coverage includes everything from the preparations right through to the evening celebrations. We have even been known to stay past midnight on occasion.
How far will you travel to shoot a wedding?
We will be ready to travel long distances if necessary, even overseas. For distances over 40 miles from Birmingham we ask for an agreed amount towards travel and accomodation expenses. For destination weddings, expenses will be added to our usual package price.
Do we receive a CD of the images?
A disc of hi-resolution images is available to purchase one year after your wedding.
How far in advance of the wedding do we need to book your services?
Certain dates are more popular than others and it’s always best to secure your photographer as early as you can. Bookings can be taken up to 3 years before the wedding date but it’s not out of the question for us to accept a booking with just a few days’ notice.
What kind of albums do you offer?
Our albums are hand-made to order by Queensberry, a specialist album manufacturer in New Zealand. These albums are quite simply the best in the world. We will meet with you after the wedding to discuss a wide range of finishes and mounting options so that you receive the perfect album for your photographs.
Do you require a deposit for bookings?
For weddings, a deposit of £500 is requested to secure that all-important date, with the balance of the fee payable 2 months before the wedding.
How many photographs would you expect to take on our wedding day?
There is no limit to the amount of shots we would take on the day. It all depends on exactly what’s happening but we would estimate between 1200 and 1600 images. We’d aim to show you the best 300 or so from that amount.
Do you have a web gallery for friends and family to purchase prints after the day?
All the edited images will be put into your personal online gallery (password protected) where your friends and relatives can see them and, if necessary, order prints. We’re more than happy to post anywhere in the world.
How long do you keep the files?
The files are kept forever! We back them up 3 times including to external hard drives and DVD discs.
What cameras do you use?
We use all Canon equipment with our main camera being the canon 1DS-MkII. We have 2 back-up cameras and a wide variety of lenses.
